    Tell us what you need

    Choose a service and town, describe the work, answer a few questions and add photos. Your draft is saved on your device, so you can finish later.

  2. Step 2

    We get the details right

    We review your request and match it with a suitable local provider. If anything is unclear, you’ll get a question online.

  3. Step 3

    Review your written quote

    Your quote sets out the scope, price, GST treatment, any deposit, timing and terms. Accept when you’re happy, or ask a question first.

  4. Step 4

    Book and keep in touch

    You’re booked once your provider has committed to the job, a time is agreed and any deposit in your quote is verified through Stripe. With no deposit, nothing is charged to book. Messages, reminders and documents stay with your job.

  5. Step 5

    Confirm the result

    Your provider submits completion evidence. Review the work, confirm it or report an issue, then leave feedback.

Payments, explained

You always know what’s due and when.

Every amount comes from your accepted written quote. Payments go through Stripe; Buildorb never sees your card number.

To book

If your quote includes a deposit (usually 30%), it’s paid through Stripe and verified first. You’re booked once it’s verified, your provider has committed and a time is agreed.

When it’s done

The balance is due once you confirm the work is complete. Your provider is paid after the work is confirmed.

If something isn’t right

Report an issue from your job page. The owner reviews the timeline and evidence and works out the right resolution under the refund policy.
