Requests and quotes
- Does a request commit me to a job?
- No. You review and accept a written quote before anything is booked. The quote explains the price, payment and cancellation terms.
- Do I have to make a phone call?
- No. Requests, questions, quotes, payments and completion updates can all be handled online.
- Why does my town show a waitlist?
- Bookings open one service and town at a time, once a local provider covers it. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you once when it opens.
- What if the work needs to change?
- Send a change request in your job thread. A material change needs review and your written agreement.
Payments
- How are prices calculated?
- Prices depend on your scope and the provider’s input. Your written quote shows the customer price and GST where applicable.
- How do I pay?
- Securely through Stripe; Buildorb never sees your card number. A job is booked only once your provider has committed to it, a time is agreed and any deposit in your quote is verified. If your quote has no deposit, nothing is charged to book.
- What if there’s a problem?
- Report an issue from the job page. The owner can review the timeline and evidence, ask questions and work out the appropriate resolution.
Providers
- Who does the work?
- Independent local service businesses. Provider applications are reviewed before they receive any work.
- When is a provider paid?
- Providers agree the scope, price and payment arrangements before accepting work. Buildorb manages completion reviews and provider payments under those arrangements and applicable law.
- How do I become a provider?
- Apply online with your business details, services, areas and insurance information. We review every application before you receive opportunities.
